You need a medical card to shop at Rootdown’s medical marijuana dispensary. Here’s how to make that happen.
To qualify for a medical card, you must obtain a written certification from your doctor attesting to your condition and need for medical cannabis relief. Only Mississippians over the legal age of 18 can qualify for a medical cannabis card.
After getting your attestation, you must also apply to the MDOH for your card, paying a $25 fee. The process typically takes a little over 30 days, after which you can legally consume medical marijuana for one year, renewing annually for an additional $25.
According to Mississippi law, your purchases at our Richland location are calculated according to Medical Cannabis Equivalency Units, or MCEUs, which allow you to purchase up to 3.5 grams of flower, 100 mg of THC in infused products, and one gram of concentrate in a single visit.
